I need to find out what a fashion plate is (the only information I have is off wikipedia and is not as detailed as I wanted)

This is it...

A fashion plate is, literally, an illustration (a plate) demonstrating the highlights of fashionable styles of clothing.

Used figuratively, as is most often the case, the term is a reference to a person whose dress conforms to the latest fashions.

If I need any other info. I'll just add another journal.
